Fat Burning Exercises To Lose Love Handles

Knowing exactly what exercises are good for what areas of the body may not matter for just losing a little weight. Those who want to tone and firm have specific activities that they do to get the results they want.  Runners may not do chin ups to get in shape for the next 5k run or maybe they would. To know how to lose love handles will mean learning the exercises that will work to burn fat in those areas and keep frustration low when targeting that area.

Cardiovascular exercise is very important when it come to this area because the more fat that is burned up the smaller these areas will get.  Activities like opposite knee crunches and stomach vacuums may be the little nudges those areas need to disappear.

Going Green With My Water Heater

The green movement is all around us and I am on a mission to make our house more green friendly. My next project i too replace the old water heater with a electric tankless water heater. There is no doubt is my mind that this not a very cheap upgrade do it is a good thing that this is a long term upgrade. It only makes sense not to constantly heat water even if you are not using it.

The down side to this whole upgrade is that you have to pay a lot more for the tankless version. I’ve looked at the numbers though and they show that over a period of about 5 years you can recoop your money. I think I would do this anyway just because it uses a lot less energy and in my opinion is the right thing to do.

Got GPS on my watch

I am a pretty avid runner–I started running because I wanted to get in shape and know I decided to take it to the next step. Not only do I run now but in addition to that I do something pretty awesome–I track how far I’ve ran and where exactly I am on a day to day basis by using a cool cheap little gps system.

Well the problem with running is that not only do you not have anywhere to go or anything to do but the problem is that you can get lost in the middle of nowhere because you just ran and didn’t bother to plan. That’s why I love my GPS watch.

A healthy living update

Some of my regular readers might remember that I started a challenge not so long ago to try doing healthy living.

Well part of doing this was not going to be so easy and people doubted me so I guess its time for a status update. The first week was rough. I found myself cheating..a lot. Eating the kind of foods I shouldn’t have been eating and all that. I did start running but found it was so tiring and made me sweat so much I couldn’t take it. I quit for a day then started reading again and got into it.

Home decor

I think Home decor is very important because in a way it portrays who you are. It shows your dislikes and
likes. In fact it displays your character. It allows you to express your
creativity. For example, if you are ready to do something and are are ready to paint a room then you have endless
possibilities ahead of you. You get to the pick the colors. Whether you want to
have a bright and cheery atmosphere, or you want it soft and relaxing. How you
decorate your home can be beneficial or detrimental to it. There are many
different areas of decor that need to be addressed if you are renovating.

Motivation to Catch a Great Oportunity

Next month I’ll be attending a very important event in my career, therefore I really need to find out the best way to lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks. Is it so important? Yes, it is. I want to look my best at that meeting, and I have to admit I’ve neglected myself a lot lately, eating very late dinners, not going to the gym, not doing any kind of exercise. I’m writing this here, because I need a strong motivation to change my habits. By telling you about my intentions, I somehow feel obliged to strive to fulfill them, and stop procrastination and day dreaming. Life is here and I want to be prepared for any opportunities that come my way. And that meeting is one of the greatest, so I need to catch it. Cross your fingers for me, please.

Your Embroidery Designs

I am simply amazed at the technology that is coming out each day.  Since I began sewing and making embroidery designs a few years ago, the detail that can now be completed in a machine embroidery design is simply amazing.

I remember when I had my first software program for my first embroidery machine.  Wow, talk about a clunker compared to today!  The software was almost like playing space invaders compared to what I can do today.  I have just started also taking pictures and using Photoshop to modify them and import them into the software program.

Its pretty cool when you can take a picture and trace it turning it into a great pattern.  I have already taken some of my favorite photos of my grandchildren and converted them already!

Anyways, there are some really great sites out there and lots of free machine embroidery designs also.  Finding th right one that you want and making sure it is virus free is a different story.  Finding the right software also requres having a good newer computer too!

BiPAP is Finally Explained

Since I began learning more about sleep apnea and its treatments I think sometimes I am left with more new questions than answers.  For example I finally found a decent article that explains the differences of BiPAP vs. CPAP.  For those who are interested CPAP has one continuous airflow setting while BiPAP has two.  The latter is also used to treat more than just obstructive sleep apnea.  It is better for those with congestive heart failure and other respiratory disorders.  While it can be a pain I am glad my husband finally spoke to the doctor and got the treatment he desperately needed for this disorder.  I had no idea how serious it can be and neither did he.  He has convinced his father to speak to his doctor know as well.  It is heriditary and we are all convinced that he sufferes as well.  And the breathing machine is far quieter than his snoring used to be.

Old Marx Toy Soldier Playset

I went to help my Dad clean out his basement over the weekend and, in the
process of cleaning, we found an old
Marx Toy soldier playset
he had gotten from Christmas when he was a kid back
in the 1950’s. It was so cool to see the kind of toys they played with back
then. This playset was a medieval castle complete with a moat and there were
plastic knights and horses that went with it. He also had parts of other sets he
had owned as a kid mixed in with this playset. There were some cowboys and
Indians and some Civil War plastic toy soldiers as well. He said that he had
lost most of the other sets or they were parts of sets that were owned by
friends of his that got left at his house.

We did some checking online for prices on the playsets and some of them go
for a nice chunk of change. Unfortunately, my Dad and his friends played with
their toys pretty roughly. While the castle part is OK, except for a crack in
the moat, some of the toy knights are missing heads and arms and are in
otherwise poor condition. I guess there goes my ideas of eBay riches from
selling them. He had some other vintage toys as well that I’m going to have to
investigate too. He doesn’t throw anything away and that sometimes makes Mom
mad. That’s why we had to clean up the basement some this weekend. I just wish
his vintage toy soldier collection had been in better shape.

Justin D at it again

One perk of having your own blog to write about is that you can write messages to your readers and help your friends get a leg up. I’m referring to a friend of mine who just started his own blog about how he wants to become a police sheriff.

Justin is an “offline” friend of mine who I helped start his own blog (on blogger haha) but he’s decided to document his journey to help those who want to learn how to become a sheriff or just how to join the police in general. I think this is great for people who need a resource where they are trying to learn and trying to become part of something bigger than themselves.
