BiPAP is Finally Explained
Since I began learning more about sleep apnea and its treatments I think sometimes I am left with more new questions than answers. For example I finally found a decent article that explains the differences of BiPAP vs. CPAP. For those who are interested CPAP has one continuous airflow setting while BiPAP has two. The latter is also used to treat more than just obstructive sleep apnea. It is better for those with congestive heart failure and other respiratory disorders. While it can be a pain I am glad my husband finally spoke to the doctor and got the treatment he desperately needed for this disorder. I had no idea how serious it can be and neither did he. He has convinced his father to speak to his doctor know as well. It is heriditary and we are all convinced that he sufferes as well. And the breathing machine is far quieter than his snoring used to be.
